The Expos are a development of our well-received roadshow events which took place for the first time in the 2018/19 season. This season we have decided each evening will be based on a specific theme, tailored to provide those who work and volunteer in grassroots football an opportunity to hear from guest speakers, receive practical guidance on issues affecting them and have the opportunity to speak with Surrey FA/FA staff.
The first event in our series is titled ‘Practicalities of Sin Bins in Game Situations’ and will focus on the mandatory introduction of sin bins for the 2019/20 season. The session is open to referees, coaches, players and anyone involved or interested in the grassroots game, hosted by Tim Lawrence (Referee Development Officer) alongside experienced FA Referee tutors. During a live game they will provide practical information giving attendees the chance to see firsthand how the laws will be implemented and how it may affect them.
The price of admission will be just £5. The first 50 attendees will get their money back in the form of a £5 Kitlocker voucher. This can be redeemed against anything in their online store including refereeing kit, coaching items or football kits!
