The Surrey FA Young Leaders Camp is aimed at 12 - 16 year olds. It is targeted at young people who are already volunteering within football or maybe looking to get involved in volunteering. This camp will enable young leaders to develop their skills as a leader and gain some new ideas and ways of thinking. This year’s event will focus around Futsal as an alternative format of football and will culminate in attendees planning and running their own tournament by coaching, refereeing and organising everything themselves whilst picking up some coaching tips and gain an introduction to the rules and tactics of Futsal.

Attendees will be able to develop some of the core six areas set out in the Football Futures Programme (refereeing, coaching, promoting the game, running and developing the game, promoting the respect programme and organising events). Please note, this event is NOT a football camp but there will be an element of playing football within some of the workshops.
