Ready, Set, Glow! : Inclusion & Neurodiversity Awareness Workshop

The main aim of the ‘Ready, Set, Glow!’ educational programme is to create an inclusive environment for your players through inclusive strategies and managing behaviours in the form of education and face-to-face CPDs.
Under the current provision, we will be hosting the ‘Inclusion & Neurodiversity Awareness Workshop’. This workshop will look to identify and understand the implications neurodiversity has on children and young people to enable positive inclusion and reasonable adjustments within football. This session would be led by Heather Lane – ‘BSc (Hons) PGCert RNC CCN QN’.
This project will mainly cater to selected groups with disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
About Heather Lane:
Vastly knowledgeable, Heather has professional and academic experience of working with children, young people and adults who are neurodiverse. Heather is also a lecturer and Pathway Lead for Community Children’s Nursing at the University of Surrey.

- What it looks like and how neurodiverse Children and Young People (CYP) may present.
- How to identify approaches and resources to support inclusion for neurodiverse CYP within football.
