Topic | ‘Using Practices to Minimise Coaching Interventions’

Brief | The evening, led by FA County Coach Developer Matt Jones, will dive into practice design and explore its relationship with coaching interventions. The workshop will aim to:

• Identify how the design of your practice can help you minimise your coaching interventions

• Introduce coaches to the 3 R’s linked to constraints based coaching

• The use of ‘competition’ within training sessions as a tool to motivate linked to the principles-of-play

The workshop will be a mixture of both theory & practical (observing players), to which there will be ample opportunity to discuss & ask questions related to the topic.
