FA Referee Course
Learner Pre-Requisites
Before completing the online learning, learners must be a minimum of 14 years of age.
Learners cannot attend the face to face training unless they have completed the online learning on the Laws of the Game or relevant online Safeguarding course. SHCFA reserve the right to cancel your course booking if you have not completed the require pre requisites at the point of booking.
Online Laws of the Game
The online laws of the game learning can be accessed at this link and is free of charge.
Safeguarding
The 'Safeguarding for All' is the minimum requirement. However, we recommend if you are over 16 you complete the Safeguarding Children Course.

Attendance is required at all sessions.
FA DBS
All Referees from the age of 16 years need an in-date FA DBS if you plan on officiating youth football (formerly known as Criminal Records Check). You must have begun your DBS application prior to start date of the course you intend to complete.
If you are under the age of 16 years you do not currently require an in date FA DBS.
