Workshop Content:

Are you moving from 5v5 to 7v7, 7v7 to 9v9, 9v9 to 11v11 or coach a number of age groups?
Do you want to learn how to adapt your sessions to develop your players and help them adapt to the change?

This two hour theory/observation workshop will focus on how to help make the transition from mini soccer to 9v9 and on to 11v11. This workshop will help coaches develop their knowledge on the different formats and how to adapt their sessions to help players understand the changes and how they can understand the new challenges within the increase in number of players and size of pitch. Coaches will have the opportunity to observe an under 11/12 team who will be coached by our County Coach Developer, Mark Haining.

The session will:

  • Help coaches understand the differing needs of players and challenges when transitioning from each game format
  • Information regarding the different roles and responsibilities that each player may have when transitioning from 5v5, 7v7, 9v9, 11v11
  • Give coaches a chance to meet like minded people, share ideas and ask questions
  • Q and A review

What you will Need:

  • Note taking materials (Recommended)
  • Suitable clothing and footwear for inside theory and outside observation on grass pitch

Additional Information:
