Workshop Content:
Do you coach a youth team and want to understand the different fundamentals in coaching?
Do you want to create the best environment for your players to learn?
This two hour theory/observation workshop will look at the fundamentals in coaching in line with the England DNA, which encourages coaches to include various things in their sessions such as aiming for approximately 70% of ball rolling time in sessions. Coaches will also have the chance to observe an under 12/13 team being coached by our County Coach Developer, Mark Haining, who will demonstrate a session that will help you develop your players with the coaching fundamentals. This workshop will also look at the different components of what makes a ‘good’ learning environment.
The session will:
- Look at the different aspects of coaching fundamentals that are outlined in the England DNA
- Aim to ensure coaches understand what components create a good learning environment
- Provide discussions about how you can engage, challenge and motivate your players through your sessions
-
Give coaches a chance to meet like minded people, share ideas and ask questions
What you will Need:
- Note taking materials (Recommended)
- Suitable clothing and footwear for inside theory and outside observation on the pitch
