Are injuries preventing players in your team from playing?

With between 10 and 35 injuries occurring in every 1000 hours of playing football, the importance of getting fast and effective injury treatment has never been higher. Many players are advised to ‘run off’ their injuries, however, this technique has been known to cause more harm than good. Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic have tailormade this workshop to help you and your team show injuries the red card.

Workshop will cover:

• Injury prevention for footballers and their support staff
• Common injuries in youth players, distinguishing between growth injuries and overuse injuries
• How youth injury treatments differ from those for adult players
• When is it safe to carry on playing when injured and when to seek extra assistance
• What to have in your pitch-side kit bag

There will also be an opportunity to discuss future workshops which will help you and your players take the pain out of injuries, and in turn reduce drop-out rates at your club.
