An Introduction to Futsal
As part of our Coach Development Offer, we are delighted to confirm our next face to face event during the 2021/22 season to support our coaches. Throughout these events, we will continue to provide learning opportunities and resources to our coaches that will support the development of more skilful players, more inspirational opportunities and develop more transformational coaches.
What can coaches expect to take away?
Join FA Mentors Mark Simmons & Luis Melville on Monday 27th June 2022 as they deliver an interactive session aimed at grassroots coaches that are new to the concept of Futsal. This workshop will introduce you to how the game is played, rules of the game and the benefits of Futsal and how playing regularly can help with player development.
This event is aimed at coaches/teachers who are beginners to the concept of Futsal or those who have completed their FA Futsal Level One and COVID prevented them from completing any Futsal coaching and they would like to attend a refresher.
This workshop will explore the following:
- What is Futsal
- What benefits are there to my team playing Futsal
- What are the basics for delivering a Futsal session
- Examples of practices that can be used with my team
Are there any tasks I need to complete prior to the event?
Coaches are asked to list a minimum of two things they would like to take away from the Introduction to Futsal Coach Development evening and come prepared to share this on the evening.
Coaches will be asked to take part in the practical aspects of the event which will take place in a Sports Hall, so please bring along suitable clothing and footwear to assist with delivery of the practical aspects. Please also bring a pen & notepad along with you to make notes throughout the session along with adequate refreshments.
