An Introduction to Promoting Positive Health & Mental Fitness in your Players.
As part of our Coach Development Offer, we are delighted to confirm our next face to face event during the 2022/23 season to support our coaches. Throughout these events, we will continue to provide learning opportunities and resources to our coaches that will support the development of more skilful players, more inspirational opportunities and develop more transformational coaches.
What can coaches expect to take away?
Join Sakib Rafique from our Partners Orange Ball on Monday 12th September 2022 as he delivers an interactive classroom based session aimed at grassroots coaches.
Coaches will learn about the positive impact promoting Positive Mental Health and Mental Fitness has on the wellbeing and performance of their players.
They will also learn how to apply evidenced-based frameworks quickly and easily into their existing coaching practice.
This workshop will explore the following:
- Football as a protective factor for children and young people
- The link between mental health, mental fitness, wellbeing and performance
- The impact of noticing, language, behaviours and actions on player wellbeing and performance
Are there any tasks I need to complete prior to the event?
We would suggest that coaches bring along some session plans where you can work to apply some of the learning from the event to.
