The Match Day Experience
As part of our Coach Development Offer, we are delighted to confirm our next face to face event during the 2022/23 season to support our coaches. Throughout these events, we will continue to provide learning opportunities and resources to our coaches that will support the development of more skilful players, more inspirational opportunities and develop more transformational coaches.
Join us on Monday 6th March 2023 as Debbie Barry (Regional PE Officer, The FA) delivers a face to face session on The Match Day Experience. This event will be a mixture of theory & practical utilising a Middlesex FA England Football Accredited club for the practical aspects of the session.
Questions this workshop will aim to answer:
- What does a positive match day experience look like from a point of view of coaching?
- How do we develop skilful players through our match day?
- How do we help parents and other adults to make match day much more positive for our players?
What can coaches expect to take away?
- Some thinking and planning tools to support coaches on a matchday BEFORE and DURING the match day.
- Some coach self-reflection tools AFTER the match day
Are there any tasks to complete ahead of the event?
- Something to think about: What is the purpose of a match day for you and most importantly, your players?
Overview of the event:
We will explore these areas through practical delivery and discussion to help you make the most of the favourite part of the week and give you some food for thought to support you throughout the season, with some hints, tips and ideas for you to take away and try out with your own players.
