This workshop will be a mixture of classroom based theory and practical regarding the role of the modern goalkeeper. The goalkeeper of today is described as “an outfield player that can use their hands” and this event will analyse the goalkeeper to be able to support the player on the ball, start the attack with a variety of distribution techniques and retain possession when necessary, as well as protecting the goal. Practices will be showcased that include the goalkeeper ‘as a PART OF the team and not APART FROM the team’.

For the duration of the course please ensure you bring the following items:

• Stationary: e.g. pen, pencil – you will receive your candidate pack at the induction

• Suitable Clothing for an indoor and outdoor grass session

• Refreshments – we advise you to bring a drink for the evening session

Should any candidate need to cancel their place on the course, please communicate with Zoe Hopewell(zoe.hopewell@lincolnshirefa.com) and there will be no administration fee. Should a learner book on the course and not communicate their cancellation a £10 admin fee will be raised against their FAN.
