This CPD explores how to design and deliver engaging coaching sessions that prioritise participant enjoyment, safety and inclusivity. Coaches will develop practical strategies to create positive first impressions, establish clear expectations and adapt activities to meet the needs of all participants. By focusing on environment, communication and session structure, this workshop supports coaches to build confidence and ensure every participant feels valued, supported and motivated to return.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of this CPD, learners will be able to:

  • Plan inclusive sessions that consider participant needs, abilities and motivations.
  • Create a safe environment by identifying and managing potential risks effectively.
  • Deliver engaging and enjoyable activities that maximise participation and enjoyment.
  • Use effective communication techniques to build rapport and make participants feel welcome.
  • Adapt sessions in real time to respond to varying abilities, confidence levels and group dynamics.
  • Demonstrate best practice in safeguarding and wellbeing, ensuring all participants feel secure and supported.
