There will be three workshops in total with a specific focus, to ensure that you gain the most information, attendees will be divided into three groups and rotate around all workshops.
Workshop 1: Club Structure, CASC & Charitable Status
- To understand the different legal structures available to clubs and their benefits and restrictions. The processes required to change structures e.g. Incorporation
- To be able to compare the benefits and restrictions of Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) and Charitable status. To understand how clubs can register as either.
- To understand what Good Club Governance looks like for grassroots clubs focusing on: the Executive Body / Committee, Risk & Control Management, Regulatory Compliance and Reporting to Key Stakeholder
Workshop 2: Members Services
Overview of the main features available to clubs through The FA’s Members Services area on www.LeicestershireFA.com
Train and give an insight to clubs to be able access the following information through member services:-
- Club details and contact information for Club Officers
- Club Officials (including coaches and managers)
- Teams registered for the Club
- Safeguarding Lookup (Club Welfare Officers)
- Discipline record for the season (including current and pending suspensions)
- Payments history (your payments to County Football Associations, for affiliation, discipline etc)
- Find a Club/Referee/Coach – search for details of any club/referee/coach in England
- Outstanding Cases – disciplinary cases still waiting to be dealt with
- Club Marketing (advertising for players and volunteers)
- Charter Standard Healthcheck
- Discipline lookup (checking for suspensions for any player in England)
Workshop 3: Sports Club Card
The card that has been designed in order to support local clubs get support from local businesses, more information to follow.

Time: 6.30pm Facility Open, first workshop will start at 7.15pm
