Lancashire FA will be hosting a ‘Foundation Phase – England DNA CPD event’ which will be delivered by Nigel Gleghorn (FA County Coach Developer) here at the Lancashire FA – please see details below:

Date: Thursday 5th March 2020

Time: 6pm – 9pm

Venue: Lancashire FA, The County Ground, Thurston Road, Leyland, PR25 2LF

Content: Nigel Gleghorn (County Coach Developer) will detail what Foundation Phase player looks like and how coaches can provide an environment that helps maximise the potential of our youngest players. Delivering a mixture of theory and practical, the CPD will cover:

• Age phase priorities for players aged 5-11
• An insight into how we as coaches can shape attitudes and behaviours for this age group
• Practical examples for working with Foundation phase players
• Q&A session with Nigel
• Identify appropriate activities to develop the A,B,C’s

As such there will be no practical for this CPD as we have team support in respect of the practical, should you have any specific medical conditions then please ensure the tutor (Nigel) is aware and that you have your medication on hand should you require it during the CPD.

The practical will take place on the Lancashire FA 3G pitch so please ensure you are wearing the appropriate foot wear when on the pitch (football boots or trainers) – please could you all share this opportunity around your club coaches and networks.
