Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Multi Skills Course
COURSE INFORMATION
Overview
The 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Multi-Skills Development in Sport qualifies your learners to work as independent multi-skills development coaches in sport and physical activity.
Through the planning, delivery and review of a series of linked and progressive coaching sessions, they will gain an indispensable understanding of and the skills to apply the principles of fundamental movement skills and fundamental sports skills to their sessions, essential to supporting people to develop sustainable active habits and achieve their goals.
If your learners are ready to take on responsibility for the ongoing development of participants of various ages in this area, or if they work in Physical Education and School Sport across the curriculum, this qualification is a great next step.
Provides the knowledge and skills to coach multi-skills and how to enhance sessions with the principles of fundamental movement skills and fundamental sports skills. This is not a sport-specific coaching qualification
Qualification Progression
Holders of this qualification are able to progress onto a wide range of Level 2 sports-specific qualifications. The skills and knowledge developed may be used to enable learners to progress to other industry-relevant qualifications such as activity leadership, supporting PE in school sport and sports development.
This qualification may lead to paid employment or unpaid voluntary roles in coaching multi-skills, either working independently or as part of a coaching team. The learner should not be deployed independently in this role until the age of 18. Other roles the learner may consider exploring include Activity Leader, Official and Sports Volunteer.

*Candidates must be able to attend all of the above dates / times in order to participate in the course and gain this qualification*

The Face to Face elements of this courses will be hosted at Lancashire FA, The County Ground, Thurston, Leyland, PR252LF
Entry Requirements
Learners must be a minimum of 16 years old at registration and 17 years old at certification
Pre-requisite(s) or other entry requirements
The recognised centre is required to conduct an initial assessment of learners to ensure that pre-requisites
to registration and certification and any barriers that may disadvantage a learner under the Equality Act
2010 are considered and outcomes recorded during the application process.
Prior to registration learners are required to:
• be accurately identified
• be at least 16 years of age
• be able to undertake this assessment in English or Welsh (if available)
Assessment Methods
The assessment methods used in this qualification are:
- Coursework (in 5 of 5 mandatory units)

Booking Information:
The cost of this course is £250 for all participants.
Lancashire FA Cancellation Policy Cancellations more than 14 working days before the course start date are eligible for a refund minus a £20 cancellation fee.
Cancellations less than 14 working days, but more than 2 working days before the course start date are refundable minus a £50 cancellation fee.
Cancellations less than 2 working days before the course start date are eligible for a refund minus a £80 cancellation fee.
Learners must inform Lancashire FA of a cancellation by emailing colin.greenall@lancashirefa.com
Learners who fail to notify Lancashire FA of their non-attendance are not eligible for any refund.

Lancashire FA Transfer Policy
Only in exceptional circumstances will Lancashire FA allow a candidate to transfer free of charge to another course. In order to request a transfer, candidates must put their reasons in writing via email to colin.greenall@lancashire.com
Each request will be considered on a case-by-case basis and you may be required to provide evidence to further support your request. Lancashire FA will then inform you of the outcome after considering all aspects of the request. The outcome of Lancashire FA is final and not open to appeal.

Candidates are responsible for bringing the following things to the course;
Food & Drink
Suitable clothing for indoor and outdoor sessions. A change of clothing is also recommended
Astro-turf trainers or moulded studs will only be permitted on the 3G Outdoor Pitch. Metal studs or blades will not be allowed
Notepad & Pen
On day one of the course candidates should bring a valid form of ID. Eg. Passport, Driving License
Please Note: This course should NOT be booked on behalf of another person (i.e. a parent/carer on behalf of a child). All booking forms must be completed by the individual who will be completing the course.
