Kent FA Coaching Adult Football Conference

We are delighted to announce the 2018 Kent FA Coaching Adult Football Conference will take place on the 20th May 2018.

The day is open to all coaches and managers regardless of previous experience or knowledge. The conference is packed full of useful workshops delivered by leading professionals to support coaches ahead of the new season.

The conference, which will be held at K Sports, Aylesford is an ideal opportunity for those coaching and managing in adult football, and those with aspirations to progress to network with others while adding to their knowledge and experience of the game.

The day will include four exclusive workshops;

Pre-season preparation – How to make the most of pre-season?

Maidstone United FC strength and conditioning coach, Harrison Grant will open the day with a practical session where he will showcase his experience and knowledge in order to deliver an appropriate and efficient pre-season schedule to your players. Harrison will provide attendees with an insight into delivering player specific training and nutrition programmes to ensure the players are fit for purpose.

Pre-match preparation – How to get your team ready for match day?

This workshop will be delivered by former Gillingham FC first team coach and academy manager, Darren Hare. Darren will give an insight into how teams prepare for a weekend fixture including the implementation of a game plan and tactics in both theory and practical demonstrations.

Psychology in football – How to get your message across?

Chris Fullerton is a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology at the University of Kent. He has a range of applied experiences including work in professional football with Wolverhampton Wanderers FC and Walsall FC, and elite youth tennis. This workshop will focus on how you can communicate your message to players to help them execute team strategies and instructions.

Monitoring & Performance Enhancement – How technology can aid player development?

James Fuller is a Sports Scientist working for SportsLab providing performance enhancement support to a number of athletes and teams while also supporting the Sport Science and Medical team at Gillingham FC to capture their GPS data. This workshop will analysis the data collecting throughout the day and how coaches can make use of this insight to support training loads, injury prevention and performance enhancement.

There are only 50 places available so don’t hesitate and book your place. The cost of attending the day is *£25.00 which includes a finger buffet lunch.

The day will start at 9.30am and finish at 4.30pm approximately.
