Herefordshire FA are looking to run a UEFA B Coaching qualification over the course of the 2018/19 season. Interested participants are now able to register their interest for the course and will then receive more information and application details when the course is confirmed. Please not registering does not count as an application for the course and does not guarantee you a place on any future UEFA B courses.

Who is it for?

Active coaches working in the 11v11, 9v9 or 7v7 game within competition structures.

Please note where demand is high course acceptance will be based on the following priorities:

  1. Working in the adult/youth 11v11 game with an FA Youth Award
  2. Working in the adult/youth 11v11 game with an FA Youth Award Module 3
  3. Working in the adult/youth 11v11 game
  4. Working in the youth 9v9 game with an FA Youth Award
  5. Working in the youth 9v9 game with an FA Youth Award Module 3
  6. Working in the youth 9v9 game
  7. Working in the youth 7v7 game with an FA Youth Award
  8. Working in the youth 7v7 game with an FA Youth Award Module 3
  9. Working in the youth 7v7 game 


Learning programme

The course of learning is made up of 18 guided learning, face-to-face workshops covering a range of topics linked to the England DNA, split into four blocks of learning, that cover the areas of How We Play, The Future Player, How We Coach and How We Support. You will also receive three support visits in between the blocks of learning to develop you in your own coaching environment.


Learning outcomes

  • Develop your understanding of the England DNA
  • Refine your beliefs, values and coaching and playing philosophy
  • Develop your players by designing practices that meet their technical and tactical, physical, psychological and social needs
  • Understand the demands of the game and how to meet the needs of players as they build a deeper understanding of their various roles and responsibilities within the team
  • Understand what relevant and effective practice looks like in both training and competition


Pre-requisites

Prior to registration for the qualification, you are required to:

  • Have attended The FA Level 2 in Coaching Football course, and hold the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football qualification
  • Have fully completed your FA Level 2 action plan
  • Be actively coaching a team in a season-long competition
  • Be able to effectively communicate in English

Prior to certification for the qualification, you are required to:

  • Hold an in date FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (formally known as The FA Emergency Aid)
  • Hold an in date completion certificate for The FA Safeguarding Workshop or the new FA Safeguarding for Coaches Workshop
  • Attend all workshops
  • Complete the course project
  • Conduct a 30 minute presentation of your project to your course colleagues and staff.
