Foundation Phase Workshop

FALCC CPD Level 1,2 Event (3 hours)


An interactive evening looking at the key messages of the England DNA Foundation Phase (ages 5-12) - a resource specifically developed to support coaches working with young players.


There will be both theory and practical elements highlighting some of the headline principles when working with players in the Foundation Phase age group, including:

  • Rationale behind the What, Why & How to work with young players
  • Links to the FA 4-Corner Model
  • The Impact of coaching behaviour
  • Developing a positive learning environment


There will be an opportunity for attending coaches to discuss / ask questions before & after the practical element, as well as receive details on accessing a FREE coaching resource available through HIVE (a digital coaching platform endorsed by The FA) which includes session plans, information & research to assist coaches volunteering / working in the game.

Time: 2.00pm-5.00pm

Venue: Writtle Sports and Social Club, Paradise Road, Writtle CM1 3HW

Cost: Free


This is an observation event - no participation is required. The practical element of the session will be delivered to a local grassroots team.
