Workshop Overview

In this workshop coaches will consider the role of the goalkeeper, understand age-appropriate development opportunities, and identify practical ways to create learning experiences for goalkeepers within different practice designs.

Who is it for?
  • Targeting coaches who hold any qualification.
  • 3 Hours of CPD will be accredited.
Outcomes

  • Recognise the technical, tactical, physical and psychological demands of the goalkeeper role.

  • Identify age appropriate opportunities to support goalkeeper development.

  • Adapt practices to ensure goalkeepers are actively engaged and challenged within team sessions.

  • Reflect on coaching approaches to create meaningful and enjoyable experiences for goalkeepers.

  • 2 hours practical on the pitch.
