Course Pre-requisites to registration and certification:
Prior to registration for the qualification, learners are required to:
- be at least 16 years of age
- The FA Level 1 in Coaching Football course or hold the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Football qualification
Prior to certification for the qualification, learners are required to:
- hold as a minimum a current FA Emergency Aid Certificate
- hold a current completion certificate for The FA Workshop Safeguarding Children in Football
Course aims and objectives:
This nationally recognised qualification, awarded by 1st4sport Qualifications will allow the learner to go a journey through the How We Coach block of the FA Level 2. Block 1 will cover the following areas; Introduction and Review Level 1, Role of the Coach & Coaching Philosophy, Communication Skills (Social Corner), Helping Players Learn (Psych/Social), Motivation (Psych), Self Esteem (Psych), The Practice Spectrum (4C), Skills Development (4C/LTPD).

Full Course Fee (Including FA Bursary): £110*
Charter Standard Fee (Including FA Bursary): £90**
*Charter Standard Club Fee: To qualify for the Charter Standard Club Fee, you must be a current member of a Charter Standard Club. If you are unsure as to whether your club carries the Charter Standard mark, please contact either your club secretary or the Essex County FA.
*Please be advised that a £40 FA bursary has been allocated against the cost of this coaching course, and prices will be subject to change once the bursary has ended
