Course Information:

- Course aims and objectives:
- To understand best practice in relation to running school/junior club teams and player development.
- To understand player development and pupil learning and the contribution being part of a school/junior club team make to these areas.
- To understand how teachers/coaches actions can contribute/detract from the learning environment/experience.
- To enhance teachers/coaches/leaders tactical and technical knowledge.
- To enhance teachers/ coaches/leaders communication/listening skills.
- To understand how learning can impact on each individuals work practices.
Course Content:
Theory: The course will introduce some key aspects in the following:
- Organisation - health and safety around running teams/codes of conduct.
- Philosophy including FA LTPD 4 corners model.
- Psychology - understanding communication and team talks.
- Practical planning - understanding basic strategies and tactics.
- Practical planning 2 - identifying own teams and opposition's strengths and weaknesses.
Practical: Practical elements of the course will provide an introduction to:
- Understanding the 3 key moments of the game.
- Understand warm ups and cools downs - LTPD
- Understand formations of teams of 6.7 or 8 players
- To identify and implement simple strategies and tactics in relation to the changing circumstances in the game.
Practical Involvement: Candidates will be encouraged to participate practically to maximise their opportunities for learning. (This however will not prevent successful completion of the award)
Assessment: Candidates will be formatively assessed throughout the course.
Refresher: No refresher required.

This exciting Match Preparation and Analysis CPD workshop will take you on the journey of how an elite level team prepares for a match situation and then analyses its effectiveness.
PART ONE | MATCH PREPARATION AND DELIVERY
Date: Sunday 24th March
Venue: University of Hull, The Pavilion, Inglemire Lane, Hull HU6 7TS
The Hull City Ladies management team will explain how they are going to set the team up for their FA Women’s National League fixture against Blackburn Rovers Ladies and what methods they are going to employ to ensure the team delivers the team plan.
Learners will view be able to observe the match day preparations whilst holding a Q&A with the Hull City Ladies management team and coaching staff.
11.30am - 12.30pm | Match day plan / Tactics discussion / Q&A with club management / coaches
12.45pm - 2.00pm | Players arrive / Warm up / Observation
2.00pm - 4.00pm | Match
4.00pm - 4.30pm | Evaluate / Discussions | Q&A with club management / coaches
PART TWO | MATCH ANALYSIS
Date: Wednesday 27th March
Venue: University of Hull, The Pavilion, Inglemire Lane, Hull HU6 7TS
The second part of this CPD workshop will showcase how the Hull City Ladies analysis team use video footage to help the coaching staff analyse match situations. This will include discussions on what went well and what didn’t and how effective changes can be made in team and individual situations.

7.00pm - 8.00pm | Analysis session with playing squad and club staff
8.00pm - 9.00pm | Players training Session
9.00pm - 9.30pm | Session debrief / Q&A with club management / coaches
The workshop will accredit Level One and Two coaches and will provide a fascinating insight into how a national league team prepares on a match day and how analysis is used to prepare and review.
