We are delighted to announce that the East Riding FA Coaching Conference is now confirmed for Monday 3rd February 2025 with it once again taking place the University of Hull.
The focus of this year’s conference which is open to all current and aspiring coaches is to inspire, engage and educate with attendees hearing from people who have been involved at every level of football.
Previous conferences has seen us welcome high profile guest which include former England International Nick Barmby, Brentford FC Technical Director Lee Dykes and Leeds United U23s Assistant Head Coach Michal Pujdak and this year is set to be no different with our guest speakers so far including:
Sally Needham
Sally is a UEFA A License Coach, with a PHD in Elite Performance, who previously worked for the FA, Sheffield United and Cymru (Wales) Women. Now a Human Development, Performance and Culture Consultant with her own coaching company 4Growth Ltd and a Performance Consultant with the Norwegian Women’s National Team is already confirmed as one of our key note speakers. Sally will talk about the Basic Understanding of Neuroscience - The importance of Language, Structure of Learning, Role of the Coach and The Application of Neuroscience in grassroots football.
Polly Bancroft
Polly is the Chief Executive Officer at Grimsby Town Football Club and has previously held roles at Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion, UEFA, the Football Foundation and the FA. Polly is one of only a handful of CEO's in professional football with her journey starting here at the East Riding FA as Women and Girls Football Development Officer. Since those early days in East Riding Polly has gone on to enjoy an inspirational journey with her keen to explain what opportunities are available to people who want to follow in her footsteps.
East Riding FA CEO Adam Lowthorpe said, "This years East Riding FA Grassroots Football Coaching Conference promises to be another fantastic event and we look forward to welcoming the regions grassroots football coaches to the University of Hull. We have a really fantastic line up of guests who will inspire, engage and educate."
There will also be time to engage with other grassroots football coaches from across the county with East Riding FA staff also on hand to provide the latest coaching updates.
The fee for attending the conference is £5 with attendees receiving a special gift upon arrival.
