The FA England DNA Workshop (5-11) with Exeter City Academy: Beginning to Combine with Team Mates - For Levels 1-3 coaches
This workshop is for coaches working with players age 5-11, and we will look at teamwork with the following outcomes:
- Develop the role of the coach in fostering an environment of fun and engagement that ultimately leads to lifelong enjoyment of the game
- An exploration of the psychological development of children around their willingness to share and work together
- An understanding of how coaches can help children to recognise when to combine with other players and how this may lead to a greater effectiveness in the game
To help you do this, you develop an understanding of the psychology behind a player’s decision making – one player may be unwilling to share the ball whereas others will recognise the benefits of combining to maximise situations. The workshop will give you practices and games to help your players understand when and how to share the ball.
This is an observational coaching session, no kit needed.
The workshop will give Levels 1 - 3 coaches 3 hours of CPD
