Workshop Purpose:
This workshop helps coaches understand the changes coming into the grassroots player pathway from the 2026/27 season. It explores keeping players in smaller-sided formats for longer, introducing 3v3 as the entry point to the game, and delaying the move to 11v11.
Learning objectives:
- Future Fit and the changes to the game explained
- How to support players in their format of the game
- Practical ideas for coaching in your format of the game
Workshop Prerequisites: learners are required to:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- To book you must operate within a Birmingham affiliated club or organisation

Information for attendees:
- This event will be classroom-based
- Please note: The classroom is located on the first floor and accessed by stairs. There is no lift access.
- Please bring pen/pad and your own refreshments for the duration of the event.
- Please ensure you bring any medication required for conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes, Allergies etc.
- FA Accredited CPD: learner must be assigned to in FA club portal to a coaching role for hours to be updated to FAN
