Ongoing learning is important for coaches to continue their development as grassroots coaches. Across the season we will be running a series of workshops to support coach development. Please find below information regarding this workshop:

Developing Skilful Players

Who is it for?

Grassroots coaches with a keen interest in helping their players become more skilful.

What to expect

A 2-hour informative workshop with practice ideas to take away, exploring the development of skilful players, with a focus on one of the following areas:

Core Moves

The 6 Capabilities

Core Skills

Outcomes 

The workshop will:

- Introduce key elements of Core Moves,

- The 6 capabilities or Core Skills.

- Demonstrate the importance of developing players holistically.

-Highlight the practice spectrum and showcase practices that promote skill development.

Workshop Overview

The developing skilful players workshops will support coaches to understand components of being skilful and the FA’s approach to developing skilful players. It will provide holistic understanding of elements that contribute to the development of skilful players along with some practical ideas for coaches to take away.

Time: 10am-12pm  

Venue: Fairfields Sports Hub, Apollo Ave, Fairfields, Milton Keynes MK11 4BA

Cost: £10

FA CPD Hours: 2 accredited CPD hours (Coaches Level 1 to 3)
