CPD Event for Level 2/3 Coaches

The England DNA is the playing and coaching philosophy of the England teams and consists of 5 core elements:

  • How we Coach

  • How we Play

  • The Future Player

  • How we Support

  • Who we are

This CPD event will focus on HOW WE PLAY with more specific detail around Out of Possession. The Out of Possession model has 3 key components:

Out of Possession

  • Pressing

  • Delay, Deny, Dictate

  • Emergency Defending

To delve into even finer detail around Out of possession the theme of the event will be:

Delay, Deny, Dictate

The scenario in the game dictates that pressing as a team isn’t the best course of action to win back possession… We will look at how to delay the opposition from penetrating, deny space in dangerous areas and dictate the direction of play with a view to regaining possession.
