Course Information:

Minimum Age: 16 

Course Duration: 30 Hours

Assessment: Circumstances Dependent


Course Pre-requisites to registration and certification:
Prior to registration for the qualification, learners are required to:

  • be at least 16 years of age
  • Have attended The FA Level 1 in Coaching Football course, and hold the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Football qualification

Prior to certification for the qualification, learners are required to:

  • hold as a minimum a current FA Emergency Aid Certificate
  • hold a current completion certificate for The FA Workshop Safeguarding Children in Football (Alternative arrangements are available for learners under the age of 18 years of age). 


Course aims and objectives:
This nationally recognised qualification, awarded by 1st4sport Qualifications will allow the learner to go a journey through the How We Coach block of the FA Level 2. Block 1 will cover the following areas; Introduction and Review Level 1, Role of the Coach & Coaching Philosophy, Communication Skills (Social Corner), Helping Players Learn (Psych/Social), Motivation (Psych), Self Esteem (Psych), The Practice Spectrum (4C), Skills Development (4C/LTPD).

Course Details

Monday 6th, Tuesday 7th, Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th March 2017 

Venue: East Barnet Old Grammarians FC, Alan Drive, Barnet, Herts EN5 2PU

Cost: £150


Please note: ALL modules must be attended to ensure successful completion of the course. Failure to do so will result in non-qualification. 


Please take note of the following:

If you have only completed your Level 1 coaching course, you will need to book on Block 1, 2 and 3 of the new FA Level 2.

If you have already completed your Level 1 coaching course and FA Youth Award Module 1, you will only need to complete Block 2 and Block 3 of the new FA Level 2.

If you have already completed your Level 1 coaching course, FA Youth Award Module 1 and Module 2, you will only need to complete Block 3 of the new FA Level 2. 
If you have already completed your Level 2 coaching course, you will only need to complete Block 1 and Block 2 of the new FA Level 2.


For those that need to complete Block 1, 2 and 3, you will receive a £50 discount, making the total course cost £400. Please email Samantha.brown@amateur-fa.com to redeem your voucher code. The voucher code is to be entered when booking on Block 3.

If you suffer from a condition that you believe may affect your involvement on a course on either the practical or theoretical elements, please notify us immediately of any support you may require and we will make every effort to ensure that you are supported throughout the course of delivery and given every opportunity to successfully attain the relevant course award.

 Please note - All Courses will be conducted in English and therefore candidates are required to be able to communicate effectively in English (this includes listening, speaking, reading and writing).

Candidates registering for this course who do not meet the English understanding criteria or have not declared a physical disability for which support may be required may be asked to leave the course without refund.
