Introduction Evening - Referee Course
**Attending this Introduction Evening does not guarantee you a place on a Referee Course**
The Referee Course Introduction Evening is designed to give learners an insight into the expectations of trainee and qualified referees.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are looking to complete the course for school/college studies (e.g. GCSEs) or voluntary awards such as Duke of Edinburgh, this IS NOT the course for you. Learners are expected to actively referee on a regular basis upon completion of the Referee Course.
YOU MAY ATTEND THE INTRODUCTION EVENING IF YOU ARE 13 BUT YOU MUST TURN 14 WITHIN 3 MONTHS OF THE DATE OF THE INTRODUCTION EVENING.
Experience has shown that support from parents/guardians is essential for referees under the age of 16 years and, as a result, we try to accommodate parents/guardians of anyone aged 14 or 15 attending the Introduction Evening alongside the learner. If a venue is unable to provide this we will inform you before the evening. It also helps parents/learners to understand what they are paying for, plus if the learner feels refereeing is not for them, they can withdraw at this stage without any further cost.

The £5 fee for the Introduction Evening is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Only after attending an Introduction Evening can learners book onto a Referee Course. The Referee Course currently costs £130. Anyone booking onto a Referee Course before attending an Introduction Evening will be removed without warning.
PLEASE NOTE: Anyone enrolling onto a Referee Course must complete the pre-course requirements before the course starts. Further information can be found by clicking here.
