Out-of-Possession Coaching Series

We have an exciting CPD Showcase Series for the first half of the 2026-2027 season - Out-of-Possession Coaching Series


This workshop is focused on the 11v11 game and individuals who are currently coaching in that capacity or have an interest in Coach the U18, U21 and Senior Game across the Male and Female Pathway as well as those keen to make a career out of Coaching.

This workshops will entail the following: 

• Technical/Tactical Demands of defending in each third of the pitch.

• Variety of Defensive systems linked to each third of the pitch 

• Psychological and Social demands of Defending

Date 1: Developing High up the Pitch- Monday 7th September
Date 2: Developing in Midfield - Monday 2nd November
Date 3: Developing Deep in & around the Box - Monday 18th January

Time: 18:00-20:30 - Upon arrival please report to the Community Room.

Venue: Worcestershire FA, County Sports Ground, Claines Lane, Worcester, WR3 7SS.

There will be some practical, if you do not wish to participate please let the tutor know on arrival. The surface is a 3G so appropriate boots will be required for the outdoor element - the guide will be sent out prior - we do have a small number of boots that can be borrowed.
