Course Duration: 30 Hours
Please note this course is the new replacement for the FA Youth Award Module 1.


Course Pre-requisites to registration and certification:

Prior to registration for the qualification, learners are required to:

  • be at least 16 years of age
  • Have attended The FA Level 1 in Coaching Football course, and hold the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Football qualification
Prior to certification for the qualification, learners are required to:
  • hold as a minimum a current FA Emergency Aid Certificate
  • hold a current completion certificate for The FA Workshop Safeguarding Children in Football (Alternative arrangements are available for learners under the age of 18 years of age). 

This nationally recognised qualification, awarded by 1st4sport Qualifications will allow the you to complete The How We Coach module of the FA Level 2. This block will provide you with the opportunity to develop and challenge your own coaching philosophy and style. You will further develop your skills and qualities required to coach the game, building on those gained through completion of your FA Level 1 in Coaching Football and having practiced with your own players since. You will look at the ways in which players learn, in more depth, and this will be linked to the stages of player development. This block will help you to develop and deliver engaging and positive learning environments on a regular basis and support you to become an even better teacher of the game.
