Tuesday 24th October sees Creating and Developing Coaches, a networking and support event for coaches from or working in the BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) community, arrive at the County FA HQ.
Having held networking events at Bradford City, Leeds United, Huddersfield Town, and Sheffield United, this follow up session offers coaches the opportunity to not only network but also observe practical sessions delivered by qualified and experienced coaches.
Leeds Beckett University, in partnership with West Riding County FA, have delivered Creating and Developing Coaches sessions across Yorkshire and West London since April 2016 and have worked with over 200 coaches. Some coaches have capitalized on this initiative and have since undertaken coaching qualification courses, strengthened relationships with local clubs, and built support networks.
The upcoming Creating and Developing Coaches event, held at West Riding County FA, will be the first follow up meeting and will invite back the coaches who have attended events in the Yorkshire region. We look forward to seeing familiar faces and new ones too. The practical element of the evening will be invaluable for current and aspiring coaches.
