The FA Level 2 in Coaching Football : How We Play : BLOCK 3 ONLY (3Days)
Course Information:

Minimum Age: 16

Course Duration: 3 days on course (21 hours)

Assessment: Formative Assessment - Portfolio & possible 1 in-situ visit (Club Visit)

Course Pre-requisites to registration and certification:

Prior to attendance on the course, learners are required to:
• be at least 16 years of age
• hold the FA Level 1 Award in Coaching Football qualification
• Hold the FA youth Award Module 1 OR completed FA Level 2 Block 1- How We Coach
• Hold the FA Youth Award Module 2 OR completed FA Level 2 Block 2- The Future Player & How We Support

Prior to certification for the qualification, learners are required to:
• hold as a minimum a current FA Emergency Aid certificate
• hold a current certificate for the FA Safeguarding Children workshop 


IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE
Learners enrolling on the Level 2 Coaching course must already be coaching a team, either as coach or assistant coach, in order to be able to satisfy the need to complete a project on your team and to be able to successfully complete the course. The project requirements include, amongst other things, creating, delivering and reviewing 8 coaching sessions linked to 8 match days showing a linked focus. Coaches will also need to demonstrate knowledge of their players development needs and identify strategies to support those players based on The FA 4 Corner Long Term Development model. This is not especially onerous but cannot be completed unless you are actually coaching a team (the format is not relevant – so 5, 7, 9 or 11-a-side).


Course aims and objectives:

This nationally recognised qualification, awarded by 1st4sport Qualifications will allow the learner to go a journey through the How We Play block of the FA Level 2.

Block 3 will cover the following areas; In Possession/ Out of Possession/ Transition/ Goalkeeping.

Successful completion of this Block 3 course will give the learner the FA Level 2 in Coaching Football leading to the achievement of the 1st4Sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football qualification.

Please note - All Courses will be conducted in English and therefore learners are required to be able to communicate effectively in English (this includes listening, speaking, reading and writing).

Tuesday 24 October : 9am - 5pm
Wednesday 25 October : 9am - 5pm
