Surrey's Big World Cup Warm Up - Equal Game Workshop

Change starts here. Join us in providing an equal game for all women and girls.

In the lead-up to FIFA Women’s World Cup and the FA’s Big Football Day, we’re very excited to invite you along to Surrey's Big World Cup Warm Up. Across the weekend, Surrey FA are hosting various on and off-pitch activities to engage with people from all different aspects of the women and girls game.

Together with England Football and supported by Barclays, Surrey FA are delivering free face-to-face workshops for clubs across the county, to explore everything you need to know to help grow and develop female football at your club.

At Surrey FA we are committed to helping #LetGirlsPlay, and we know that there are an increasing number of clubs that are too. We want to invite you to our upcoming Equal Game workshop to support you to start or grow female provision at your club.

These workshops are based on research that has been carried out by talking to football clubs, volunteers, and players up and down the country and will be full of advice and real-life club examples, to support your journey.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Identify existing provision for women and girls football opportunities within your club and your future vision
  • Understand the importance of club Identity and Governance for the provision of an equal game
  • Understand effective marketing strategies in support of your provision for an equal game
  • Create and maintain a sustainable football provision in support of an equal game

Venue: Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub, Waterside Drive, Walton-on-Thames KT12 2JP

Date: Sunday 16th July 2023

Time: 10:00 - 12:00

We would recommend 2x people from each club to attend the workshops.
