Date | Thursday22nd March 2018

Venue | AFC Telford Learning Centre

Time| 6.30 – 8.30pm

Topic | FemaleOnly Event – ‘Counter Attacking’

What To Expect? | ‘CounterAttacking’ has always been prevalent in the game and is seen as an exciting playing strategy when executed effectivley. This workshop will introduce candidates to the England DNA & ‘How We Play’ with a technical / tactical focus on ‘CounterAttacking’ working within the in-possession moment of the game.

Identify the key coaching principles around counter attacking exploring the ‘when to’, ‘how to’ & ‘why’ making reference to examples.

Showcase 1 x tutor-led practical session to see what delivering a training session themed around ‘Counter Attacking’ could look like working with female players in a grassroots environment.

The workshop will be a mixture of both theory & practical,to which there will be ample opportunity to discuss & ask questions.

Please note: In terms of participation in the practical element of the workshop, we welcome local youth clubs to participate in the session working on the basis that the players can transport themselves to & from the venue. This is on a first come first serve basis. Should your club be interested (up to 16 players) please contact workshop tutor Matt Jones to express an interest & confirm times etc – Matt.Jones@TheFA.com or 07534 062458
