This CPD event has been organised by the Coaches Association and will provide Level 1 & 2 coaches with 2 hours CPD and is free of charge to attend. Please details of this event as provided by the Coaches Association:
Our next guest coach was formerly an Academy Coach at Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United before leaving the latter club to take up his position with The FA as an FA Youth Coach Educator. Joe is also one of a limited number to hold the prestigious FA Elite Coaches Award. It would be remiss of me if I didn't mention Joe's fantastically humbling and benevolent charity work with his own charity "Balls To Poverty" (B2P). Over the last 12/13 years Joe has taken parties of teenagers from Central College in Nottingham to coach youngsters in the townships of Cape Town, South Africa & parts of Uganda, and also hand out free footballs. Joe, who won ITV News "Central Pride Of Britain Award" for the East Midlands in 2009 commented it was a massive wrench to reduce my involvement with the B2P charity which won deserved acclaim around the world, but The FA job offer was just too good to refuse.
Can you afford to miss a coach of Joe's ability, and his passionate desire to take coaching to neglected parts of the world.
Joe's topic/theme is:-
"The Importance of a Mixed Games Format – Modeling Brazilian and Argentinian Youth Development in an English Context”
For his Coaching Workshop, Joe is going to share some of the findings from his visit to Brazilian and Argentinian Academies as part of his UEFA Pro License study, and then attempt to make it accessible to English coaches across all levels of coaching in terms of aspects of their processes that can be adopted here.
When: Monday15th May 2017; kick off at 7pm
Where: Sheffield United Academy, Firshill Crescent, Shirecliffe, Sheffield, S4 7DR
Who: Joe Sargison; FA Youth Educator
