I always feel privileged to inform members about our forthcoming guest coach. He is someone who I have got to know well, over the last several years. He is extremely approachable and only a phone call away from offering advice and support - I feel lucky I've got to know this excellent coach. This coach was an ex professional footballer, making over 400 league appearances for teams such as Chelsea, Bournemouth, Dundee Utd, Blackburn Rovers, Port Vale and Preston North End. After retiring from playing he began his coaching career where he "hung up his boots", at Preston North End. He rapidly moved up the coaching ladder and became Academy Director with Blackburn Rovers, which was followed by the same position at Bolton Wanderers and Leeds Utd. After leaving Leeds Utd he took the role as a Senior Coach Educator for The FA. Our guest host is currently Joint Head of Coaching/Coach Developer - Pre Academy to U13 at Everton FC. It gives me enormous pleasure to introduce Chris Sulley, who I know will deliver an interesting, informative Coaching Workshop that will provide lots of technical and technique work.
The theme/topic that Chris is delivering is "From The Cages And Futsal To The Grass". This session will involve technical and technique work in practices and game situations - ideal for all coaches to transfer over to your players. Everton's extremely successful Academy use cages and Futsal to develop their younger players from U6 - U13 and Chris will give us an insight into how Everton manage to develop lots of quality players who make the grade as first team players - their Academy is probably the most successful British Academy in terms of producing first team, Premiership and International, players . . . . . . . . . . need I say any more to tempt you to watch this superb coach.
