Oxfordshire FA’s Coaches Association is now in its third year providing FA-qualified coaches with a comprehensive programme of workshops.
The 2012-13 season is packed with a range of exclusive events including a Premier League coaching session by Reading FC, a goalkeeping shot-stopping coaching clinic and nutrition for football workshop.
Members range from coaches with the FA Level 1 Award in Coaching Football and very little experience to UEFA ‘A’ license coaches. Regardless of experience there is something for everyone and the association aims to offer the chance to improve the skills and attributes of coaches throughout the season.

FA Licensed Coaches Club
To support members of The FA Licensed Coaches Club 7 of our 9 programmed events are accredited and recognised as official FA LCC CPD.
Pre-requisites: Coaches must hold a minimum of the 1st4Sport FA Level 1 Award in Coaching Football to join

Coever Coaching Workshop

Learn about Coerver Coaching - a method that focuses on Individual skill development and small group play, aiming to increase a players speed with & without the ball.
Counter Attacking Workshop

An example of “Counter Attacking” practices, designed to encourage teams to break out to attacking positions as quickly as possible.
Youth Coaching Clinic - Developing Decision Making through Small Sided Games

Find out useful ways of using small sided games to increase the numbers of decisions players need to make. Identify what decisions are taking place and how we can encourage our players to make the right one.

This theory based workshop will provide specific dietary requirements in order for players to have the opportunity to perform at their best.
Youth Coaching Clinic – Behaviour Management
FALCC Accreditation: FA Level 1 & 2

This session will focus on the Psychological factors of Long Term Player Development and how this impacts on a player’s performance. It will provide hints on how to manage player behaviour and minimise the chances of players misbehaving.
Goalkeeping Coaching Clinic – Shot Stopping
FALCC Accreditation: FA Level 1 & 2
Date: Tues 5th March 2013
Time: 18:30 – 20:00
Venue: Oxford Academy, Oxford
This clinic will provide multiple coaching practices for coaching Goalkeepers. Focussing on shot stopping it will provide breakdowns of how to perform techniques such as “Collapsing Saves” & “High Diving Saves”.
Youth Coaching Clinic – Developing the 3 ‘R’s’

For managers working with youth footballers, this clinic will offer practices that help build Repetition, Realism and Relevance into your practices.
Shooting & Finishing Coaching Clinic

Venue: Blessed George Napier School, Banbury
Get your players hitting the target by attending this workshop demonstrating a variety of fun, shooting practices involving all of the team.
