Want to get involved in FUTSAL?
On Wednesday the 17th April 2013 the Nottinghamshire FA will be hosting a FUTSAL presentation evening. The evening will be to present the FUTSAL offer for the County over the next 6 months and will also include a practical demonstration from coaches involved in the FA Youth FUTSAL program.
Futsal and Girls Football are main focuses for Notts FA and the priority of the night will hopefully lead to a major project in the next few months which will be developing girls futsal teams in clubs (U16’s) leading a festival event and league. The Format of the evening will be as follows.
- 6.30pm Arrive and register
- 6.45pm Presentation on FUTSAL its origins and its tactical and technical elements that can aid the development of players
- 7.15pm Practical demonstration on practices specific to FUTSAL
- 8.30pm Presentation on the FUTSAL offer for Nottinghamshire and how clubs can get involved in competitions and introduce FUTSAL into their clubs
The night will also outline funding attached to clubs setting up specific FUTSAL teams for male and female participants. It will also be an opportunity for clubs to ask questions and find out more information on FUTSAL.
FUTSAL has been prominent in the media over the last month with the success of the England FUTSAL team reaching the main round of qualifying in the UEFA FUTSAL championships in 2014 for the first time in their history. With its inclusion in the FA new future game guide it is a format of football which is being identified to improve the technical skills and experience of the Countries up and coming players. The FUTSAL evening will be open to all people who have an interest in FUTSAL and also starting FUTSAL teams for female and male within their clubs. Those who attend will also be able to access free and reduced cost places on the next FUTSAL coaching course scheduled for May 2013.
