Norfolk FA Football Futures Camp 2017

If you’re 12 – 18 years of age, passionate about becoming a coach or a referee and looking for that initial platform to begin your journey, this two day Football Futures Camp can do just that.

This year’s Football Futures Camp is more specific and focused around those individuals who want to be a coach and a referee, the exit routes are already in place to continue individuals’ development via our Football Futures Coach and Referee Specific Training programmes.

On the first day there will be a three hour workshop on leadership, looking to bring out the best qualities in each of our leaders and working as a team to overcome activities. The group will then be split into two specialist groups, refereeing and coaching where they will then have 8 hours of specialist training across the two days.

Both the coach and referee specialist training groups will be delivered by experienced and knowledgeable FA and County FA Staff as well as members of Norfolk FA’s current Youth Council  that are highly enthusiastic about the development of the next generation.

Aims:

  • Engaging the next generation of enthusiastic young coaches and referees
  • Challenge leadership and begin their journey on the coaching/referee pathway
  • Create a perfect environment to allow for peer learning, networking and reflecting on experiences

Objectives:

  • Individuals to continue within the Football Futures Programme, reaping the benefits and rewards it can provide
  • Continue to support each individual with their personal development with further training and networking events
  • For individuals to become a part of the Football Futures communication platform to network with Youth Council members  and other like-minded leaders for support and advice
