Assessment: Circumstances Dependent (Block 1)
1 insitu (Club Visit) from course tutor - cost included within course price (Block 2)
Course Pre-requisites to registration and certification:
Prior to registration for the qualification, learners are required to:
- be at least 16 years of age
- Have attended The FA Level 1 in Coaching Football course, and hold the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Football qualification
- Have attended & completed the FA Level 2 in Coaching Football - a copy of your action plan must also be provided prior to the course start date
Prior to certification for the qualification, learners are required to:
- hold as a minimum a current FA Emergency Aid Certificate
- hold a current completion certificate for The FA Workshop Safeguarding Children in Football (Alternative arrangements are available for learners under the age of 18 years of age).
Course aims and objectives:
This nationally recognised qualification, awarded by 1st4sport Qualifications will allow the learner to go a journey through the How We Coach block of the FA Level 2.
Block 1 will cover the following areas; Introduction and Review Level 1, Role of the Coach & Coaching Philosophy, Communication Skills (Social Corner), Helping Players Learn (Psych/Social), Motivation (Psych), Self Esteem (Psych), The Practice Spectrum (4C), Skills Development (4C/LTPD).
Block 2 will cover the following elements: Introduction & Review of How We Coach, Player Potential (LTPD), Managing Difference (LTPD), Managing Behaviour (Social), Managing Mistakes (Psych), The Physical Corner

Candidates registering for this course who do not meet the English understanding criteria or have not declared a physical disability for which support may be required may be asked to leave the course without refund. Important - Coaches looking to attend this course must be actively coaching within Middlesex and have access to players to coach throughout the course. This course is open for existing coaches who have previously completed their FA Level Two qualification, but have not yet completed the FA Youth Award Module’s One & Two. Should you not have completed your FA Level Two or be coaching within Middlesex then we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

Block Two (previously FA Youth Award Module Two):
Theory/Practical - Monday 6th November 2017 (9.00am – 5.00pm)
Theory/Practical - Tuesday 7th November 2017 (9.00am – 5.00pm)
Theory/Practical - Wednesday 8th November 2017 (9.00am – 5.00pm)
Please note – coaches must attend all dates of the course to achieve the qualification. Failure to attend any of the dates mentioned will result in non-qualification.
