Referee Observers Training

Are you passionate about referee development? Do you want to play your part in helping our next generation of referees?


Why not become a Middlesex FA Referee Observer?

 

Observers are responsible for providing written and verbal developmental feedback to CFA promotion candidates. Observer reports help CFAs make decisions on whether candidates should be promoted or not. In order to become a referee observer, you should have the following:

  • Be a qualified, registered referee 
  • Have an in date CRC check & Safeguarding Children qualification
  • Attend the Referee Observer Course

 

This one day Referee Observers Course will cover the following:

  • Establishing rapport
  • Understanding the importance of how people learn
  • Observation of a live game
  • How to provide effective feedback
  • Post-match debrief, report writing & next steps

 

Date: Sunday 20th October 2019 

Time: 12:30pm – 6:00pm 

Venue: Middlesex FA, Rectory Park, Ruislip Road, Northolt, UB5 6AU 

Tutor: Andy Taylor 

Cost: Free


Please note, aspects of the course will be outside, so please bring suitable clothing in case of inclement weather.
