Manchester FA Coaches: ‘Have Your Say’ Event
Monday 30th April 2018
6.30pm arrival for a 7pm start – 9.00pm
The Lounge, Platt Lane Complex, M14 7UU
Who the event is for: All grassroots coaches working in either local clubs, the female game, education or Community
As a County FA, one of our aims is to lead the way in developing the passionate and committed coaches who support players in the grassroots game across Manchester on a weekly basis.
To coincide with an upcoming survey being distributed to all coaches in Manchester, our ‘have your say’ event will be an opportunity for coaches to provide more in-depth feedback around how we as a County FA can help to better develop and support individuals as they continue along their coaching journey.
The aim of the consultation will be to gain an insight into:
- Common challenges coaches are facing when working with their players.
- What development opportunities coaches would like in addition to the formal coaching qualifications currently available.
- How Manchester FA can better support individuals at whichever stage they are along their coaching journey.
To coincide with the event, we are also taking the opportunity to introduce the new FA Women’s High Performance Centre which is specifically aimed at supporting all coaches working within the female game in Manchester. The optional workshop on the night will include:
- · An introduction to the FA WHPFC and ways in which it can support female teams, clubs with a female team and all coaches working or wanting to work in the female game.
- · A networking and consultation workshop to help shape the support and development opportunities available to all coaches in the women and girls game moving forwards.
All feedback received at the event will be used to help shape Manchester FA’s coach development and education strategy for the 2018-19 season.
