Workshop Outline:

Helping Players Learn Through the Game

This workshop will demonstrate to coaches how they can utilise appropriate practice design and delivery to help maximise learning for their players. The workshop will include a mixture of both theory and practical where the tutor will share ideas around how to condition practices to challenge players with realistic game scenarios and pictures. In addition to this, it will showcase how coaches can intervene and communicate effectively with players to provide them with the ownership and decisions in solving the problems they are faced with during practice.

Key outcomes of the workshop include:
1) Understanding how to effectively design practices to maximise learning through game realistic experiences.
2) Demonstrating different ways of communicating and intervening with players to help them make sense of the scenarios they are faced with in the game.
