Course Information
- Minimum Age: 16
- Course Duration: 3 hours
- Course Prerequisites: None
- Course aims and objectives:
- To understand ‘What is a Football Leader’?
- To identify the benefits of young leaders to football
- To identify the skills of a leader mentor
- To understand and practice an effective mentoring process
- To identify individual development as a leader mentor
Course Content:
Theory: The course will introduce some key aspects in the following:
- Why young leaders may need a mentor/varying roles of a leaders
- Qualities of an effective mentor
- Pre, During and post mentor activity
- Effective questioning
- Reflection and feedback
Practical: Classroom based course
Assessment: Candidates will be formatively assessed throughout the course.
Refresher: No refresher required.
