Who is it for?

  • Football Clubs who want to learn more about Walking Football, and are interested in setting up club sessions.

What will you learn?

  • A brief overview of Walking Football, including the rules, how to set up a session, and how to attract participants.
  • Hear and understand good practice from those who are already delivering, either the ‘Leisure Club’ model, or ‘Grassroots Club’ model.
  • Opportunity to experience a practical Walking Football session and understand the reasons behind it popularity, growth, and why it is important for your club to embrace.

Manchester County FA are inviting all FA Community, Development and Charter Standard clubs to attend an introduction to Walking Football Evening at their HQ, Platt Lane. The session will be led by Football Development Officer, Daniel Pilling. The event is designed for clubs and activators, who wish to learn more about Walking Football, and are interested in starting a Walking Football session.

This event will be both classroom based, and practical, so please ensure you bring suitable clothing and footwear for playing football on a 3G surface.
