Manchester County FA Safeguarding & Welfare Conference

Manchester County FA will be hosting a Safeguarding and Welfare Conference on Saturday 4th July 2015.

There conference will be delivered by two guest speakers, first being Chris Kavanagh. Chris is a Level 1 Referee and also the Referee Development Officer at Manchester County FA. The second guest speaker is Dr Phil Cooper. Dr Phil Cooper is the co-founder of Rugby League State of Mind.

The aim of the conference is to give all in attendance a insight into the work that Dr Cooper deals with and how to improve the mental health and well-being of players and committee members. Manchester County FA are working collaboratively with Dr Cooper in the 15/16 season to pilot the workshops he will deliver on the day.

Chris will be providing into the continued development of referee's and how making sure safeguarding referee's is key part of his work.

There will be chance for attendee's to share best practice and seek expert advice of the two guests invited to the conference
