England DNA

The England DNA provides a blue print for what the England players of the future will look like, ensuring that a golden thread runs through all teams regardless of the size of the shirt. 

The process undertaken to reach this point was aimed at ensuring there was a clearly defined framework of how England teams would look through all phases of their development. The DNA ensures that there is a consistent set of habits and values running through the national team.

The core elements include: 

- Who we are
- How we play
- The future England player
- How we coach
- How we support

Manchester FA is now offering coaches and clubs the opportunity to ‘play their part’ in the designing of what the DNA looks like for them at grassroots level.  FA staff will deliver the framework through theory and practical in regards to how players of the future should play and how we as coaches can support in that process.  This will ensure a joined approach nationally to developing our game across the country.
