Course Information:
- Minimum Age: 16
- Course Duration: 32 hours
- Course Prerequisites: Minimum 1st4sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football
- Member of the current FA Licensed Coaches’ Club (recommended)
- Who is it for: Aimed at coaches at all levels who want to become more knowledgeable and effective when coaching young players. There are generic strands relating to teaching and learning, motivation and self-esteem that are suitable for most coaches.
- Course aims and objectives: The course will provide practical sessions and advice for when coaching this age group, and will increase the candidate's knowledge of how to develop their coaching to incorporate The FA 4 corner model. The course will cover technical development and in the physical corner it will offer FUNdamental ideas for the coach to use as well as suggested activities for the development of football specific movements. The important Social and Psychological development of the young player is also examined.

Course Content:
Theory: The course will introduce some key aspects in the following:
- The importance of the social corner and how it links with the 4 corners.
- How players learn
- Motivation
- Self-Esteem
- Managing Mistakes
- Managing Physical, Technical, Social and Psychological Difference
- Planning Activity
Practical: Practical elements of the course will provide an introduction to:
- Physical corner FUNdamental warm-ups
- Practical activities and games
Practical Involvement: Candidates will be encouraged to participate practically to maximise their opportunities for learning.

FA Charter Standard Price: £150 (this discounted price is available to anyone involved with an FA Charter Standard Club affiliated to Liverpool County FA).
Kit Required on all 4 days:
* Football kit / training kit, tracksuit and waterproof clothing.
* The practical elements of the course will take place on a grass pitch, so please bring appropriate footwear.
* You will also need to bring a pen and writing pad, and your own food, drinks and refreshments.

Cancellations:
* If notification of a cancellation is received more than 14 days before the scheduled start date a refund will be issued, minus a £10 administration charge.
* Cancellations less than 14 days before the scheduled start date of the course will not be eligible for a refund.
* Any candidate who fails to attend the course and fails to inform Liverpool County FA will not be eligible for a refund or a transfer to another course.
Transfers:
* If notification of a transfer to an alternative course is received more than 14 days before the scheduled start date of the initial course, no administration charge will be levied.
* Transfers to an alternative course less than 14 days before the start of the initial course will be subject to a £10 administration charge.
* If a club notifies Liverpool County FA that a candidate is unable to attend less than 14 days before the start of the course and finds a suitable replacement a £10 administration fee will be charged.
* A candidate may only transfer once between courses. Candidates who have transferred between courses will not be eligible for a refund if they are unable to attend their re-scheduled course, even if they notify us more than 14 days before the start of the new course.
