The FA unveiled its England DNA philosophy with the ultimate aim of creating winning England teams. The framework consists of five elements: ‘Who we are’, ‘How we play’, ‘The future England player’, ‘How we coach’ and ‘How we support’ this FA Licensed Coaches Club Event is designed to introduce The England DNA to the local football workforce and explore how it links to the ‘grassroots game’.

This workshop – ‘Developing Defending Play – Out of Possession’ – will outline the key principles around the out of possession phase in a game and consider their application across different age groups.

By the end of the session you will:

• Identify the key principles that underpin the out of possession phase of a game
• Observe and analyse a practical session on developing defending play to highlight these four principles in practice
• Evaluate and reflect on the key messages and consider how these apply in your context

The event is FREE and is for those coaching in Charter Standard Clubs in Leicestershire & Rutland. The night also serves as a Coach License Event for those who are members of the FA Coach License Club.
